Abstract
⺠An uncoated TbFeCo film on glass substrate exposed to air for 2 years was studied. ⺠The uncoated surface was oxidized at room temperature in 2 years. ⺠Oxidization of the film causes changes in laser-induced magnetic reversal dynamics. ⺠The sample's structure and magneto-optical property changes prove a bilayer model. ⺠The SiO2-coated film can resist oxidization at room temperature for over 2 years.
