Abstract
⺠A 5M single crystal was trained magnetomechanically (A) and in push-pull-concept (B). ⺠(A) resulted in a reduction of twinning stress by a factor of 2. ⺠(B) resulted in a decrease of total strain with the stress being unaffected. ⺠Decay of strain is seen due to the tilt accompanying twin boundary motion. ⺠Magnetic actuation was seen to be stable down to â25 °C.
