Abstract
⺠We report that the existence of asymmetry strongly influences the coercivity and the remanence. ⺠Magnetization reversal is driven by the nucleation of a C state and propagation of a vortex state. ⺠We also conclude that the lack of a core contributes to the stability of the vortex state. ⺠Asymmetry can be useful for tailoring specific magnetic characteristics of these systems.
