Abstract
► We have prepared pyrolytic carbon from triethylamine on diamond powder in magnetic field of 6 T. ► A ferromagnetic (FM) sample was obtained with magnetization of 6.4 Am2/kg at 300 K. ► This is 3×104 times greater than the FM component of the raw diamond powder. ► The diamond powder seems to promote the formation a 3-D FM structure in pyrolytic carbon.
