Abstract
⺠All compounds crystallize in a tetragonal crystal structure. ⺠Compounds with R=La, Ce, Pr, Nd and Sm are ferromagnets. ⺠Ferrimagnetic behavior is observed for R=Gd and Dy. ⺠The Curie temperatures vary between 149 K and 210 K. ⺠The Curie temperatures are roughly proportional to the de Gennes factors.
