Abstract
⺠Sm-Fe-N powder was successfully consolidated into bulk material by the compression shearing method. ⺠The resultant Sm-Fe-N bulk magnets retained the magnetic alignment of the Sm2Fe17N3 phase and showed magnetic anisotropy. ⺠The Sm-Fe-N bulk magnets exhibited an attractively high maximum energy product of 228 kJ/m3 with a high coercivity of 0.88 MA/m.
