Abstract
Magnetoelectric composites with composition (x)Ni0.8Cu0.2Fe2O4+(1−x)Ba0.9Pb0.1Ti0.9Zr0.1O3 in which x varies as 0, 0.15, 0.30, 0.45 and 1 mol% have been prepared by standard ceramic method. The presence of two phases in the composites has been confirmed by XRD. Variation of dielectric constant with temperature at various frequencies and the magnetoelectricity (ME) output was studied. Changes were observed in dielectric properties as well as in the ME effect as the molar ratio of the components was varied. All the samples show linear magnetoelectric effect in the presence of static magnetic field. A maximum value of ME conversion factor of 0.431 mV/cm. Oe was observed in composite containing 15% ferrite and 85% ferroelectric.
