Abstract
Amounts of amino acids adsorbed onto the Au/γ-Fe2O3 composite nanoparticles synthesized by gamma-ray irradiation were measured using magnetic separation technique. Cystine and methionine, which are sulfur-containing amino acids, connected to Au by a Au-S bond could be selectively picked up by a magnet.
