Abstract
Single crystals of TiO2 rutile were implanted with high fluences of Co and Ni ions, aiming at the understanding of the role of these ions in the magnetic properties of the doped oxide. Magnetization and electrical resistivity results as a function of temperature and magnetic field are presented and correlated with information obtained by Rutherford backscattering spectrometry measurements in the same samples.
