Abstract
The 32-strips linear detector based on semi-insulating GaAs is fabricated. The dimensions of each strip are 170Ã2500Ã200 μm3. Analog and digital read-out electronic card with 24 channels is connected to the linear detector. The surface mounted device (SMD) components with automatic assembling of electronic devices for read-out front-end electronics are used. Testing of counting ability of each strip with micro-collimated (Ïâ¼250 μm) X-ray source up to 60 kV is carried out. The maximum counting rate is about 1.0Ã105 cps. The results for gradual decrease of linearity on approaching the maximum counting rate and the dispersion of the intensity registered in individual channels are presented. The crosstalk between neighbouring strips is found negligible.
