Abstract
Analysis of the beam intensities from the atomic beam sources are reviewed. Formation of the free molecular flow is discussed in more detail. Suggested beam formation model may satisfactorily describe observed experimental data. A more detailed experimental investigation of the free molecular flow formation from the isentropic expansion would be very helpful for the optimization of the focusing magnet system of the polarized ABS to get the highest intensity of the beam.
