Abstract
► The highest average neutron yield of 2.2×109 neutrons per shot was achieved at mixture of deuterium and krypton. ► In the krypton seeding of deuterium also anisotropy of neutron emission deuterium is found. ► The krypton seeding of deuterium made the neutron emission more reliable over wider operating pressure ranges.
