Abstract
⺠Dependence of decaying homogeneous turbulence on initial conditions is studied. ⺠Wind-tunnel data of both conventional and multiscale cross grids are compared. ⺠Analysis show that the normalised energy dissipation depends on the grid geometry. ⺠The initial conditions dependence extends to the conserved large-scale invariant. ⺠A clear departure from Saffman and Loitsyansky turbulence in all cases is evident.
