Abstract
⺠The 2-component modified NLS equation has wide applicability in fiber optics. ⺠The N-soliton solution describes the propagation characteristics of any number of optical solitons. ⺠The compact determinantal expression of the solution is presented here for the first time. ⺠The generalization to the multi-component system is proposed as well as its continuum version.
