Abstract
⺠We studied alkaline-earth fermionic atoms in an one-dimensional optical superlattice. ⺠We modeled the system by the Kondo lattice model plus a superlattice potential. ⺠We found a quantum phase transition from a Kondo insulator state to a charge-gapped antiferromagnetic state.
