Abstract
► We find the stationary solutions of an inhomogeneous nonlinear Fokker-Planck equations. ► We unify two paradigmatic mesoscopic mechanisms for the emergence of nonextensivity. ► Our results exhibit that we may retain long memory as a unified mesoscopic mechanism consistent with nonextensive statistical mechanics.
