Abstract
⺠We study the significance criteria for latent periodicities in DNA sequences. ⺠The constraints imposed by sum rules can be described with De Finetti distribution. ⺠It is intermediate between Rayleigh distribution and exact combinatoric theory. ⺠Theory is applicable to the study of correlations between different periodicities. ⺠The approach can be generalized to the arbitrary discrete Fourier transform.
