Abstract
⺠A generalization of the Cooper pairing mechanism is proposed. ⺠It allows for a triplet state which is lower in energy than the singlet state. ⺠This may explain the spin-triplet superconductivity observed. ⺠The mechanism incorporates spin into the canonical commutation relations.
