Abstract
⺠A novel conception, coupled caloric effect, has been proposed. ⺠The coupled caloric effect is enhanced caloric effects originate from the coupling among magnetic, ferroelectric, and structural degrees of freedom. ⺠The caloric effect in a coupled system consists of pure contribution from each subsystem (ÎSM/ÎSE/ÎSL) and coupled caloric effect (ÎSML/ÎSEL/ÎSME). ⺠The extra contribution from the coupling greatly elevate the total caloric effect.
