Abstract
⺠Composite bosons undergo Bose-Einstein condensation to form the bilayer quantum Hall state. ⺠A composite boson is a single electron bound to a flux quantum and carries one unit charge. ⺠Quantum coherence develops due to the condensation. ⺠Quantum coherence drives the supercurrent in each layer and the tunneling current. ⺠There exists the critical input current so that the tunneling current is coherent and dissipationless.
