Abstract
A dynamical multiscale method has been carried out for studying the nanoindentation process. By imposing the temperature control in the atomic region and performing the low-pass filter method nearby the handshaking regime, the total coupled model exhibits the dynamical behavior in terms of the nodal and atomic displacement distribution. Furthermore, we investigate the effect of indenter temperature and radius in the two-dimensional multiscale nanoindentation model and the simulation results are qualitatively in agreement with the experiments.
