Abstract
In this Letter, we propose a novel method for completely reproducing given motion pictures using totalistic rules in a two-dimensional cellular automata. The point is that one can find a specified totalistic rule for each pixel in a motion picture during an arbitrarily given time frame interval, which enables a complete and compressive description of the given data. Actual examples are given using computer experiments with respect to the binary bit patterns of two-dimensional motion pictures made from video pictures that are recorded using the standard sampling format of the present video markets.
