Abstract
In this paper a consistent poroelasticity theory for a ternary mathematical model, consisting of a compressible porous solid filled with a mixture of an incompressible liquid and a compressible gas, is developed. On the basis of the Theory of Porous Media (TPM) the fundamental main equations of poroelasticity are worked out, namely the equations of motion expressed by the displacement vectors.
