Abstract
⺠Hypothesis that neutral axis and centerline of a curved beam coincide is examined. ⺠In general, neural axis based curved beam model predicts the phase velocities lower. ⺠Condition for tangential waves of a curved beam to travel is found in closed form. ⺠Frequency response of a curved beam depends on the underlying hypothesis.
