Abstract
⺠Mitochondrial energy metabolism is central toward aging. ⺠We focus on the relationship between mitochondrial redox state, aging and dietary interventions. ⺠Which modifications induced by diet are central in aging remains to be fully understood. ⺠Diets used for laboratory animals are variable, and of difficult comparison with humans. ⺠Mechanistically understanding effects of diets will help translate into positive human effects.
