Abstract
► We raise that CKIP-1 acts as a scaffold adaptor mediating interactions with multiple proteins. ► We summarize the different ways and conditions through which CKIP-1 functions. ► We emphasize that CKIP-1 is involved in various important signaling pathways, controlling cell growth, apoptosis and differentiation. ► We discuss the structure, limitation and predict that CKIP-1 will be a promising target for treatment of osteoporosis, and cancers.
