Abstract
⺠Meta-analysis: DR typically increases lifespan by 14-45% in rats and 4-27% in mice. ⺠Inbred mice have shown less favorable responses to DR than non-inbred mice. ⺠DBA/2 males and ILSXISS strain 114: DR has weak or negative effects on lifespan. ⺠Wild-derived mice: Limited DR response suggests a role of laboratory breeding. ⺠Translation to primates may require expanding the set of well-studied rodent genotypes.
