Abstract
⺠Mitochondrial morphology is responsive to the surrounding cellular milieu. ⺠Deformed mitochondrial morphology is coincident with many disease pathologies. ⺠Mitochondrial morphology has a reciprocal relationship with bioenergetic status. ⺠Manipulating mitochondrial fission and fusion can be used as a therapeutic strategy.
