Abstract
⺠HDAC6 is crucial for maintenance of protein homeostasis after proteasomal failure. ⺠HDAC6 regulates the up-regulation of chaperones and heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1). ⺠HDAC6 deacetylates p38 and starts the p38MAPK-Nrf-2-mediated HO-1 induction.
