Abstract
⺠Nucleotide excision repair proteins participate in oxidative DNA damage repair via two distinct pathways. ⺠XPA protein is involved in the control of oxidative DNA damage. ⺠Increased oxidative damage is associated with exacerbation of the progeria phenotype.
