Abstract
⺠Exposure of presequence protease (hPreP) to hydrogen peroxide results in inhibition of activity. ⺠Activity of oxidized hPreP can be recovered by MsrA. ⺠The M206 residue is located within the hPreP active site and acts as an internal antioxidant.
