Abstract
⺠The 8-hydroxy-2â²-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) level was increased in MDS patients. ⺠This oxidative DNA damage was suppressed by the oral iron chelator deferasirox. ⺠Deferasirox therapy may improve oxidative DNA damage and development of MDS.
