Abstract
⺠Green perilla extract exhibited high Nrf2-ARE activity. ⺠We isolated an active fraction through bioactivity-guided fractionation. ⺠The active component was 2â²,3â²-dihydroxy-4â²,6â²-dimethoxychalcone (DDC). ⺠DDC induced the expression of antioxidant enzymes. ⺠DDC provided protection against 6-hydroxydopamine-induced cytotoxicity.
