Abstract
⺠Upon 6-OHDA treatment, DJ-1 is translocated into the nucleus in dopaminergic cells. ⺠Antioxidant inhibits the 6-OHDA-mediated nuclear translocation of DJ-1. ⺠Ectopic expression of DJ-1 prevents 6-OHDA-induced cell death. ⺠Upon 6-OHDA treatment, localization and binding of DJ-1 to PML bodies increased. ⺠Overexpressed DJ-1 causes decreased expression of PUMA upon 6-OHDA treatment.
