âº Oxidatively induced nuclear Î±-synuclein binds PGC1alpha promoter regions. âº Alpha-synuclein appears to act as a transcriptional modulator of PGC1alpha. âº Findings link PD, oxidative stress, alpha-synuclein, and mitochondrial dysfunction.
