Abstract
⺠Yeast glutaredoxin 5 interacts with SPT10 via an intermolecular disulfide linkage. ⺠We investigated the features and growth phenotypes of three null mutant strains (Grx5Î, SPT10Î, and Grx5ÎSPT10Î). ⺠The common feature of the mutants was a growth defect in nonfermentable carbon-based media. ⺠The protein complex may involve the induction of HSP26 during stationary-phase growth.
