Abstract
⺠15-Deoxy-Î12,14-prostaglandin J2 (15 d-PGJ2) suppresses ICAM-1 expression and NF-κB-p65 nuclear translocation. ⺠15 d-PGJ2 increases GSH and GSSG levels. ⺠GSSG increases p65 glutathionylation and blocks p65 nuclear translocation. ⺠Multiple cysteine residues in p65 are responsible for glutathionylation. ⺠15 d-PGJ2-induced p65 glutathionylation is suppressed by buthionine sulfoximine, catalase, and Nrf2 siRNA.
