Abstract
► 15-Deoxy-Δ12,14-prostaglandin J2 (15 d-PGJ2) suppresses ICAM-1 expression and NF-κB-p65 nuclear translocation. ► 15 d-PGJ2 increases GSH and GSSG levels. ► GSSG increases p65 glutathionylation and blocks p65 nuclear translocation. ► Multiple cysteine residues in p65 are responsible for glutathionylation. ► 15 d-PGJ2-induced p65 glutathionylation is suppressed by buthionine sulfoximine, catalase, and Nrf2 siRNA.
