Abstract
⺠A direct-current electrical field (DCEF) induces directional migration and reactive oxygen species generation in fibrosarcoma cells. ⺠Superoxide, but not hydrogen peroxide, mediates the fibrosarcoma electrotaxis. ⺠Superoxide is essential for DCEF-induced cytoskeleton reorganization. ⺠Superoxide plays critical roles in DCEF-induced ERK activation. ⺠Superoxide-mediated electrotaxis depends on the activation of ERKs.
