Abstract
⺠Ebselen and DPTVP showed antioxidant efficacy in Caenorhabditis elegans. ⺠Manganese led to increased protein oxidation and reduction in life span of worms after chronic exposure. ⺠Ebselen and DPTVP increased life span in Mn-exposed worms. ⺠DPTVP protected against Mn-induced toxicity by reducing protein oxidation. ⺠DPTVP increased the translocation of the transcription factor DAF-16 into the nucleus.
