Abstract
⺠Norepinephrine dose dependently induces hypertrophy and apoptosis in cardiomyoctes. ⺠Hypertrophy and apoptosis are marked by the induction of FosB and Fra-1 respectively. ⺠Both fosB and fra-1 at induced at the transcript level by reactive oxygen species. ⺠Response to reactive species is mediated by multiple cis elements in their promoters. ⺠Redox signals merge at the cis-elements creating gene specific regulatory modules.
