Abstract

Driving decision in the car following model is a complex process of inference, decision, and execution. There is a lot of vagueness and randomness in the knowledge description and inference mechanism. Through the analysis of the problem of recent research, the article applied the cloud model theory to the car following model. Based on the description of the processing of different decision information and car following pattern, the article defines the decision variables, concept judging subset, and designs experimental methods of model parameter calibration. On the basis of abundant experimental data, the article calculates the membership cloud eigenvalue of the related parameters, summarizes the inference mechanism of the car following cloud based on behavior rules, and finally constructs the car following cloud model (CFCM).
