Abstract
► Hump-nosed viper bite causes coagulation abnormalities and AKI in envenomation. ► Thrombotic microangiopathy (TMA), found in patients with AKI. ► TMA could have led to development of severe AKI. ► TMA could have led to local tissue necrosis, severe thrombocytopenia and anaemia. ► Strong suspicion is needed to detect TMA in envenomed patients.
