Abstract
⺠The object of the study was MlrA, the only enzyme able to detoxify microcystins. ⺠MlrA was heterogously expressed in Escherichia coli. ⺠Heterologous host demonstrated high potency to eliminate microcystins. ⺠Kinetic study indicated that MlrA exhibits positive cooperativity towards microcystin.
