Abstract
► We examined pinnatoxins E and F in hippocampal slices and hemidiaphragms of rats. ► Hippocampal gamma oscillations were unaffected by pinnatoxins. ► Nerve-evoked compound muscle action potentials were abolished by PnTx's. ► Pinnatoxins E & F act as potent heteromeric muscular nicotinic receptor antagonists.
