Abstract
⺠Hemiscorpious lepturus scorpion envenomation shares common clinical features with spider's. ⺠Heminecrolysin is the first dermonecrotic toxin purified from scorpion venom. ⺠Trypsin digest and MS/MS analysis showed homology with brown spider sphingomyelinase D. ⺠Pharmalogical characterization indicate sphingomyelinase D, complement-dependent hemolysis and dermonecrosis activities.
