Abstract
⺠The purified TLBan is a new serine protease from Bothrops andinaus (lancedhead) snake venom. ⺠We evaluated the ability of TLBan to degrade fibrinogen and we observed that it is able to cause α- and β-chain cleavage. ⺠Enzymatic activities as well as the platelet aggregation were strongly inhibited when were incubated with PMSF.
