Abstract
⺠A tunicate xenobiotic receptor activated by two natural microalgal biotoxins. ⺠Natural marine toxins may act as selective agents in xenobiotic receptor evolution. ⺠Xenobiotic receptors may provide 'sensor elements' for monitoring and bioprospecting.
