Abstract
► We explored control of Prymnesium parvum using six newly available herbicides. ► Flumioxazin was further investigated during two in-lake experiments. ► Flumioxazin caused significant decreases in P. parvum during bloom initiation. ► Deleterious effects to other plankton were not significant. ► Flumioxazin was less effective when applied during a period of turbid waters.
