Abstract
⺠We describe the purification/characterization of a metalloproteinase from Bothrops moojeni. ⺠The enzyme was originated from the autolysis processes of a PIIIb class of SVMPS. ⺠The enzyme displays coagulant and fibrinogenolytic activities. ⺠The enzyme is active at acidic pH but not in pHs ranging from neutral to basic.
