Abstract
► scFv antibodies that recognize Bt Cry1C were selected from a human naïve phage display library. ► One scFv antibody (scFv-H6) was further characterized showing a working range recognizing Cry1C of 0.023-4.35 μg mL−1. ► scFv-H6 showed low cross-reactivity with Cry1Ac or Cry1B Bt toxins. ► scFv-H6 is a useful tool in the quantification of Cry1C from Bt transgenic plants.
